     On the horizon of the Indian subcontinent, a star was born in the 19th century, known to the world over as Maharishi Dayanand Saraswati, the founder of Arya Samaj, a man of firm conviction and unique courage, a revolutionary reformer, a great vedic scholar and an innovative thinker, who made unparalleled contribution to the making of modern India. In the words of Gurudev Rabindranath Tagore, Maharishi Dayanand was, "The Great Path maker of Modern India." Swami Dayanand gave guiding Principles of Arya Samaj in which, the foremost was the Spread of Education. To achieve the cherished goal of Swamiji, a group of socially oriented people founded Dayanand Anglo-Vedic College Trust and Management Society in 1885 which was registered in the same year under the Societies Registration Act. 1860. This was the beginning of a movement which is now popularly known as the D.A.V. Movement. It is the result of perennial courage, conviction, hard work, dedication and devotion of dynamic and inspiring personalities that today D.A.V. College Trust & Management Society is enjoying the status of the largest non-governmental educational organization managing a chain of institutions dedicated to the education loving people & J.N.J.D.A.V., Giddarbaha is one of them.
